LSSC RADIO JOCKEY COMPETITION

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana organized Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (Central Zone) Radio Jockey Competition for the students of Senior Secondary Wing in its school premises. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and creativity in radio broadcasting.

The Principal of the Host School Dr. Jyoti Sachdev Pujara gave a floral welcome to Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman cum Director of Chain of Green Land Schools who graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Dr. Shabad Rudhra, President of the trust and she also welcomed the judges of the competition: Dr. Prabhleen Kaur, Associate Professor English Department of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana and Ms. Anupreet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of PCTE Group of Institutes, Badowal, Ludhiana. Their presence added great value to the event, and they were appreciated for their fair and insightful judgments.

The event commenced with the musical performances dedicated to Almighty to seek His choicest blessings and to welcome all the guests with melodious and vibrant performances and this gave a pious beginning to the show.

The said competition witnessed an extensive array of participation from more than 13 teams of various schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Two RJs from each representing classes IX to XII from each school participated in the competition. The Radio Jockey show featured enthusiastic participation who entertained the audience with a mix of historical facts, satire on current political leaders, respect for past leaders, and a segment on an unsung hero. The students demonstrated their ability to blend humour with informative content, making the show both entertaining and educational. The bilingual format of the show, incorporating both Hindi and English, ensured that the message reached a wider audience and added to the richness of the presentation.

All the luminaries heartily congratulated the winners and the participants. Principal of the school Dr. Jyoti Pujara gave away the prizes to all the winners.

On the whole, the competition was a great success. The motive behind the Sahodaya Competition was successfully achieved and all the winners were in jubilant mood. The informative day was concluded by National Anthem.
