RULES GOVERNING THE LSSC (CENTRAL ZONE) COMPETITIONS

a) Rules & Regulations for the competition will be finalized by the host school.
b) At least 15 days prior information must be sent to all member schools for participation in the competition by the host school.
c) Principal of the host school will be responsible for the smooth conduct & fair judgment of the competition.
d) Requirements for certificates, trophies, or medals must be sent to the Director, Dr. Jyoti Pujara (LSSC Central Zone), at least 2 weeks prior to the competition.
e) In the Poetry Recitation Competition, judgement will be based solely on vocal performance without props, whereas in the Fancy Dress Competition, props will be considered as part of the competition and included in the judgement criteria.
f) In co-curricular activities, the host school may participate but will not compete for the prize. In sports competitions the host school will be entitled to compete for positions.
g) Sports & other competitions must be finished by 4:00 p.m. If required, the next day should be utilized for leftover events of sports.
h) The host school will not provide refreshments for sports events. Refreshments will be arranged only for participants of literary and cultural events and the expenses for these refreshments will be borne by the host school.
i) Timings for the competition must be set keeping in mind the summer and winter timings of the schools.
j) The host school will make sure that the competition is shown to the escort teachers also. They should not be made to sit in separate rooms.
k) It is expected that schools visiting the host school for participation in various co- curricular/ sports events must refrain from making any negative remarks about other schools during their visitation.
l) The host school should invite competent judges who have thorough knowledge of the subject/ competition and are able to assess students' expression, fluency, and other relevant criteria discreetly.
m) During LSSC Inter School Competitions, there must be student audience in order to encourage the participants.
n) It is advisable that there should be maximum participation of participating teams from all schools in all the events otherwise the hardwork of the host school goes in vain.
o) It is also hereby advised that while finalising the date of Co-Curricular Activities & Sports Events, dates of Unit Tests/ Half Yearly/ Pre. Board Exams/Gazetted Holidays etc. must be kept in mind.
p) Teachers on duty during the competition may carry mobile phones, but taking videos or photos during the competition is strictly prohibited.
q) JPEG Photographs, videos & results of the competitions must be sent to glcs.snschool@gmail.com for timely uploading on the official website.


MEDALS & TROPHIES:-

a) For Co-Curricular Activities: In case of group activities individual trophies for winners as well as for school will be given. Prizes for various positions (individual winners and schools) include first, second, and third places, as well as two appreciation awards.
b) For Sports Activities: Medals will be given to the winners, trophies to 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up & Overall winner will be awarded.
c) All the participants will be awarded certificates.
