LSSC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The two-day Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (Central Zone) Basketball Tournament was hosted by Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana, and witnessed an extraordinary display of basketball talent from U-19 boys and girls teams. The tournament brought together over 20 CBSE-affiliated schools, all competing fiercely to claim top honors. The event commenced with a grand welcome for the esteemed Principal, Dr. Jyoti Sachdev Pujara, along with a vibrant reception for the participating teams and their coaches, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive tournament.
On the first day, the atmosphere was charged with excitement as the U-19 Girls' teams took to the court. Players displayed tremendous courage, coordination, and sportsmanship, as they battled to secure their positions in the competition. The matches were highly competitive, showcasing a fine balance of skill and strategy, with each team determined to claim victory. The day concluded with several intense matches, leaving the spectators eagerly anticipating the continuation of the tournament.
The second day saw the U-19 Boys' category take center stage, with the semi-final match pitting Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jal. Bye Pass, Ludhiana, against Green Land Convent School, Civil City, Ludhiana. In a closely contested match, Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School emerged victorious with a score of 38-34. Green Land Convent School, Civil City, then went on to secure third place after defeating Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Dugri Phase-I, with a 32-23 score. In the thrilling final match, Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, triumphed over Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jal. Bye Pass, with a commanding 43-28 victory, securing the championship title.
In the U-19 Girls' category, Ryan International School, Jamalpur, Ludhiana, claimed third place after a 21-11 win over Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana. The final match saw Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jal. Bye Pass, dominate International Public School, Sandhu Nagar, Ludhiana, with a 14-6 victory to clinch the championship.
The tournament culminated in a grand prize distribution ceremony, with Principal Dr. Jyoti Sachdev Pujara commending the players for their dedication, hard work, and exceptional sportsmanship.
